PONCHATOULA, LA, September 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolyn Adams, Artist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fine art.
Ms. Adams has been a professional artist for 48 years and remains inspired by her travels and studies in Europe, where she spent 20 years painting and exhibiting her work. She focuses on painting still lifes, Renaissance interpretations, and portraits, along with abstract works. As an oil painter, she has developed her own imprimatura and glazing techniques. In addition to working in oils, she uses acrylic, pastels, and ink. Artistically, she strives to balance craftsmanship, technique and spirituality.
Despite her many accomplishments in the past four decades, Ms. Adams believes the highlight of her career was her first major exhibition at Racine's Gallery in Brussels, Belgium. She holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Southeastern Louisiana University, and is affiliated with Mann Fine Arts Gallery at www.mannfinearts.com.
