KENNEDYVILLE, MD, August 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- KENNEDYVILLE, MD, August 29, 2011, Sarah Woodson Clark, Photographer for Tuckwagh Photography, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Photography. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Growing up on the Sassafras River, Ms. Clark has always been fascinated by the local history as well as the beauty of the flora and fauna. She researched and published a book on the history of the Tockwogh Indians, a tribe briefly visited by explorer Captain John Smith before they mysteriously disappeared. Her book contained many of tier photographs and was well received by those who read it.

After publishing her book, Ms. Clark opened her studio, Tockwogh Photography, in the small picturesque town of Kennedyville, Maryland three years ago. Featuring shots of plants, animals, and the river she loves, she has distinguished herself for her ability to capture timeless images as well as her expertise in natural photography. She has also been hired for event photography, delighting in capturing special memories for friends and family to treasure forever. Also a Registered Nurse and Staff Development Coordinator at a long-term care center, she is deeply happy to have an outlet to pursue her long held passion for art and photography. She attributes her success to the encouragement of her family.

Her artwork is exhibited in Finland and Estonia. Also, her photo of the iconic symbol of our nation, the American Bald Eagle, hangs in the Parliamentary offices of the European Union in Brussels, Belgium. Ms. Clark is also exhibited in Maryland, Delaware, California, Florida, Kansas and Pennsylvania.

Ms. Clark is affiliated with the Sassafras River Association, The Sassafras Business Association, the Art Council of Cecil County, the Art Council of Kent County, The Historical Society of Kent County and Phi Beta Kappa. She became a Registered Nurse through the Nursing School of Wilmington and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Washington College. She is currently pursuing a degree in Visual Communications from Cecil College and was the recipient of the President's Prize in 2011 as well as the 2011 Picture Award from the Historical Society of Cecil County.
