Rosalia Dean received a silver medal from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, August 9, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rosalia Dean, Educator for the Vancouver School Board, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

The recipient of a silver medal from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, Ms. Dean possesses a natural aptitude for singing. She studied voice and opera workshop at the Banff School of Fine Arts during two successive summer schools under the guidance of Dr. Ernesto Vinci. He was a popular vocal coach from the Royal Conservatory and he encouraged Ms. Dean to continue to study voice performance at the University of British Columbia. He was also instrumental in providing her with a scholarship so that she could attend the second summer at the Banff School of Fine Arts. Deciding to share her musical expertise and develop the talents of the future generation, she embarked on a career in education. Currently celebrating her 27th years as a teacher, she instructs primary and intermediate classes for the Vancouver School Board.

Ms. Dean has always received generous encouragement from her parents and credits their support to her accomplishments. A graduate of The University of British Columbia, she holds a bachelor's degree in music and a certification in elementary education, as well as a certification in early childhood education from Langara College. In the coming years, Ms. Dean intends to retire, leaving behind a legacy of quality education. She plans to spend more time singing and dancing with her granddaughter, Catarina. Ms. Dean is a supporter of World Vision, Inc., and Doctors Without Borders.
