She is best known for her watercolor portraits, landscapes and seascapes. Ms. Solcyk previously spent 12 years in the aerospace industry; work she found truly fascinating and challenging. Before that, she worked on several major animated films and some early TV programs while with Disney Studio in Burbank, Calif.
