Henry Philip Isely Recognized for Contributions to World Peace Efforts
Henry Philip Isely strives to create a better and more peaceful world through the establishment of a global government
LAKEWOOD, CO, July 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Henry Philip Isely, Secretary General of the World Constitution and Parliament Association and Chairman of Vitamin Cottage, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.
Mr. Isely has been a political activist since 1958, when he was a candidate for the U.S. Congress. Today, as secretary general of the World Constitution and Parliament Association, he is deeply involved in the effort to create a better and more peaceful world through the establishment of a global government. He works to fund the organization's political movements and drafting of the Constitution for the Federation for Earth. Mr. Isely has also authored and co-authored many publications, including the books "The People Must Write the Peace," "Call to a World Constituent Assembly," "Handbook for Planet Earth" and "Critique of the Report of the Commission on Global Governance."
In addition to his political work, Mr. Isely is the founder of Vitamin Cottage, a provider of high-quality and affordable natural health foods and nutritional supplements. He established the company in 1955 with his wife, Margaret. It has since progressed from a door-to-door sales business to a small "mom-and-pop" shop to a31-store chain with more than 1,200 employees and locations in three states. Mr. Isely now serves as the chairman of the company's board of directors.
In 1975, Mr. Isely received the Honor Award for World Peace from the International Association of Educators for World Peace. Two years later, he earned a Gandhi Medal in recognition of his peace efforts. He obtained a research doctorate in education in 1989. Mr. Isely maintains affiliation with a large number of environmental, peace and human rights organizations. In the years to come, he plans to continue his efforts to end war in the world.
