OLNEY, MD, December 7, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rebecca McMenamin, New Media Director for the International Broadcasting Bureau, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in international broadcasting.

With 25 years of experience as a journalist, Ms. McMenamin's goal is to provide unfettered access to news and information for all people, especially the underprivileged. As the New Media Director for the International Broadcasting Bureau, she lends her expertise in international news and cultures, digital innovation, change management, mobile Web, and social media.

In 1984, Ms. McMenamin earned a bachelor's degree in communications and broadcasting from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the Online News Association and the National Association of Broadcasters. Attributing her success to her strong leadership, effective crisis management and strategic planning skills, as well as a belief in the mission of international broadcasting, she has stayed on the cutting edge of changes in global media consumption habits to tailor products to market needs. In the coming years, she plans to find new ways to leverage the power of digital technology to inform and engage auduences.
