Woodshed Gallery Presents Small Artworks by Twenty-Nine Local Artists
The Woodshed Gallery in Franklin, MA (Metro West Boston) is hosting an exhibition of small-scale artworks by twenty-nine local fine artists. The exhibition is on display through November 26, 2011.
FRANKLIN, MA, November 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Woodshed Gallery in Franklin, MA (Metro West Boston) is presenting a group exhibition of original fine art paintings, photographs, prints and mixed media artworks by twenty-nine Boston area artists. The exhibition is on display through November 26, 2011.
All artworks in the show have images sizes 8 x 10 inches or smaller. Styles range from realistic paintings of local and international scenes through whimsical illustrations for children, sophisticated abstractions, photographs, calligraphy, fabric art and collages.
Sandra Bouchard, a Franklin-based interior designer and art collector, judged the show's entries and selected several prize winners. First Place was awarded to Susan Pratt Sheridan of Franklin for her oil painting Morning Glow. Second Place went to Stacey David of Franklin for her pastel painting "Siena, Italy", and Third Place was presented to Ann Gorbett of Walpole for her oil painting "New Yorkie." Honorable Mentions were awarded to Carlie
DeGaetano of Blackstone for her oil painting "Vermont Landscape" and to Robin Wessman of Norfolk for his oil painting "Salt Pond."
Other artists in this exhibition include Claire Griffin, Rebecca Skinner, Richard Lazario Guardabascio, Stephanie N. Miksis, Shona White, Bruce Wood, William Janosco, Gail Eckberg of Franklin, Steve Cross of Bellingham, Susan Johnson from Cambridge, Tatiana Roulin of Sharon, Harold Cunnif of South Boston, Evelyn Bernal and
Linda Poreca of Needham, Polo Barrera of Walpole, Judith Moffatt of Medway, Stephen Halpert from North Grafton, Carol Frieswick of Whittinsville, Sandy Thibeault of Northbridge, Muriel Funka of Millbury, Sara Alexander of Hopedale, Karen T. Duplessis of Framingham. Two artists from Rhode Island are also included in the exhibition. They are Connie Anderson from Woonsocket and Susan S. Novich of Providence.
