Painted Axe Completes King Biscuit Blues Festival Commission
Painted Axe has completed a custom-painted guitar for the King Biscuit Blues Festival titled "Streetwise Blues."

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, September 08, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Painted Axe has completed a custom-painted guitar for the King Biscuit Blues Festival titled "Streetwise Blues."

"This guitar features an illustration of a Blues musician playing for money on the street corner," said Michael Gauf of Painted Axe. "Many of today's elder Blues musicians began their careers on street corners, honing their chops and playing for tips. And with an all-star festival lineup that includes Buddy Guy, Hubert Sumlin, T-Model Ford and others, a look back on how these greats started was a no-brainer."

"Streetwise Blues" marks the second consecutive year Painted Axe and the King Biscuit Blues Festival have teamed up. "We are extremely pleased and proud of our association with the festival. Last year's "Arkansas Blues," a custom-painted resonator, was an overwhelming success and we hope the King Biscuit Blues Festival comes back every year for more."

The King Biscuit Blues Festival, formerly the Arkansas Blues festival, celebrates its 26th anniversary on October 6-8 in Helena, AR.

Painted Axe currently is finishing several guitars, including one for the Blues Cruise.
