BATH, ENGLAND, April 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alan is known for his distinctive style of painting, which is resonant of '1930's British railway poster art' and displays a simplified realism and romantic quality reminiscent of that period. His use of light and shade and bold shapes together with audacious compositional choices, creates an unusually engaging and enduring effect.
This new series of exclusive limited edition, fine art Giclee prints includes scenes within the Georgian city of Bath - notably Pulteney Bridge, The Circus and a view, Towards Brock Street - and a harbour scene, Padstow, Cornwall.
Carine Besse, Manager at the Red Rag Modern Art Gallery commented that, "We are delighted to announce that these distinctive original paintings of Bath and Cornwall by Alan Tyers are now available as excellent, limited edition, fine art prints. His paintings are increasingly collectible and this is a bold step in making his work more widely available to his growing number of admirers."
Alan Tyers (b. 1944, Coventry) studied at Coventry School of Art (winning a full time place at the age of 13) before taking up a career in advertising and later as a creative director and partner in his own company.
