London's National Portrait Gallery is displaying the work of EO Hoppe.
LONDON, ENGLAND, February 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- London tourists can enjoy the oeuvre of one of the great portraiture artists at Hoppe Portraits.
Running until May 30th 2011, the exhibition will showcase nearly 150 pictures captured by 20th century photographer EO Hoppe.
The collection is on display at the National Portrait Gallery, which described the artist as one of the most important figures of his era.
Among the famous faces visitors can expect to see in his work are members of the royal family, celebrated physicist Albert Einstein and playwright George Bernard Shaw.
Although born in Germany, Hoppe spent much of his career in London.
"Celebrated during his lifetime, much of Hoppe's work has only recently been reassembled and this major survey will enable visitors to discover a forgotten master," noted the venue.
The exhibition is open from 10:00 to 18:00 GMT every day except for Thursday and Friday, when it closes at the later time of 21:00.
Admission starts from GBP11.
