Will Craig Hutchison Recognized for Excellence in Teaching
Will Craig Hutchison fulfills his dream of a career in speech and theater education
NEW YORK, NY, August 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Will Craig Hutchison, Professor at the City University of New York, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
With 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Hutchison is a professor with the City University of New York. Specializing in theater education, he teaches speech and theater arts, and directs scenery design or lighting for stage shows. Throughout his career, he has directed over 60 stage shows and designed scenery and lighting for over 40 stage shows. He previously served as General Manager of the Landers Theatre in Springfield, Missouri, which is the largest community theatre in the Midwest, if not the entire country. He was also General Manager of the 3,000-seat Memorial Hall, the civic facility in Joplin, Missouri, and served as President and Chairman of the Directing Staff of the Joplin Little Theatre. He was recognized for his production of "Ceremony of Innocence," by the Theatre Association of New York State. Attributing his success to his determination and consistency, he intends to direct more shows in the future.
Mr. Hutchison received a Master of Arts in Theater from Missouri State University in 1969. He is a member of the International Association of Technical Theater, the National Honorary Theatre Fraternity, and Alpha Psi Omega. Mr. Hutchison served as a captain in the United States Army Signal Corps.
