Arabella M. Decker Honored for Accomplishments in Art
Arabella M. Decker celebrates 40 years as a distinguished artist
LAKE WALES, FL, June 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Arabella M. Decker, Artist for Dragon's Lair, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in art and administration.
As an artist for 40 years, Ms. Decker is an expert in painting and sculpture. Currently an artist for the art gallery Dragon's Lair, she conducts art shows and meets with new and existing customers. A founding member of Curator and ArtShare Representative Coastal Arts League, she acts as the president of The Sculptors Guild and of the Peninsula Women's Caucus for Art. She served as a guest lecturer for the Northern California Association of Women Administrators & Lecturers in 2003 and was a curatorial speaker for Hidden Treasures: Han Dynasty Tomb Pieces at the Silicon Valley Art Museum in 2001. In addition, she has served as a judge at MacWorld Exposition, for Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival and for the 11th Annual Juried Competition at the Coastal Arts League.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American International University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. In addition, she took coursework at The Art Institute of Chicago and at The Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design. Her exceptional artwork has led her to attain several honors and distinctions, including an Award for Catalogue Design from the Womens Caucus for Art (2004), recognition on the Coastside Women's Hall of Fame by Half Moon Bay Review (1999) and the Women of Distinction Award from Half Moon Bay Coastside of Soroptimist International. In the future, she intends to continue organizing and exhibiting shows, in addition to gaining more exposure in other areas of the field.
