Ruth A. Guinn Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Ruth A. Guinn is the co-creator of Material Kidz - American-made dolls, modernized for today's child
PRESCOTT, AZ, April 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ruth A. Guinn, President and Co-Founder of Material Kidz, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in embroidery and doll design.
Motivated by a lifelong interest in sewing and design, Montana native Ruth A. Guinn joined Material Kidz over two years ago. Best noted for her embroidery skills, she conceptualized and created the very first "Material Kid" - an intricately embroidered doll geared toward toddlers. Now catering to a national market, the Material Kidz staff produces dolls that are 100 percent hand-crafted and designed using safe, non-toxic materials. The 11-inch embroidered two-ply dolls are completely customizable and come with flat fabric clothing and a soft carrying case for easy transport.
In addition to embroidering the Material Kidz' Ginger and Graham dolls, Ms. Guinn is responsible for a myriad of administrative duties. She manages various aspects of the business and assists with marketing and design creation. She also consults with fellow creators, Donna and Shannon Elliott, to devise web-based business strategies.
Ms. Guinn holds an associate of applied science from Amarillo College. She is a registered nurse and active supporter of the American Diabetes Association. Looking to the future, she intends to expand business operations and promote the Material Kidz brand to a wider consumer market.
