Frederique Philip has been accepted among the ranks of premier professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of her remarkable work in the Hospitality Industry.

SOOKE, BC, CANADA, April 15, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Frederique Philip has been accepted among the ranks of premier professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of her remarkable work in the Hospitality Industry. As Co-Owner and Innkeeper of Sooke Harbour House for the past 31 years, Frederique has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be among the best.

Sooke Harbour House is a hotel and restaurant with 28 guest rooms and four floors of art gallery created by a local artist. Frederique purchased the property with her husband Sinclair in 1979. At the time it was a house with five small guestrooms, no private guest bathrooms, and a small dining room.

In 1986, Frederique and Sinclair built ten additional guestrooms, pioneering the now common practice of providing larger, more luxurious guestrooms featuring fireplaces, sitting areas and bathtubs for two. Sooke Harbour House became one of the first full-service, small inns to offer breakfast, lunch and dinner for in-house guests.

In 1988, the original five guestrooms were renovated to offer the luxury and pampering for which Sooke Harbour House had developed a world-wide reputation and in 1998 a further 13 rooms were added bringing the total to 28 which is what it stands at today.

During her educational career, Frederique earned a Master's Degree in Economics from Grenoble University. She is a member of the International Association of Cooking Professionals, Sooke Tourism Association and Women Business Networking as well as the Sooke and Victoria Chamber of Commerce.
