DALLAS, TX, March 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Gillian Bradshaw-Smith, Artist and Muralist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in fine art.

Drawing on over 30 years of professional experience, Gillian Bradshaw-Smith is recognized for excellence in mural design, scenic and fine art. Demonstrating a creative flair since childhood, she studied fine art and painting at the University of Reading in England before immigrating to the United States in 1963. After gaining recognition by showing her work in private galleries such as the Contemporary Gallery and Cordier & Ekstrom on Madison Avenue in New York, Ms. Bradshaw-Smith branched out to develop large-scale painted backdrops for a number of high-profile photographers and publications. This experience allowed her to connect with the ballet world, where she created over 20 scenic art designs for companies including the New York Theatre Ballet, the Baroque Dance Company and the Dance Patrelle.

In addition to her accomplishments in painting and scenic art, Ms. Bradshaw-Smith has made a name for herself in toy design. Having worked with a variety of toy makers over a 15-year period, she was the visionary behind the "Possom Trot" collection. She also authored a book called "Adventures in Toy-Making," published by Taplinger.

Currently residing in Dallas, Ms. Bradshaw-Smith has immersed herself in commercial and private mural design. She works alongside many revered interior designers to create visually compelling walls, ceilings and interior details. She is still actively involved with scenic art for the ballet and continues to hone her artist talents through the use of sculpture and mixed media.
