LateRooms.com - See I Am Kloot in Norfolk
Manchester's I AM Kloot are set to perform at the Norwich Arts Centre next month.
NORFOLK, ENGLAND, December 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People in the mood for some live music during a stay in Norfolk hotels may like to see I Am Kloot.
The Mancunian trio are due to play the Norwich Arts Centre on Tuesday January 25th, when they will perform songs from their acclaimed recent album Sky at Night.
Released in July this year, the record is the band's fifth studio LP and has received much critical praise, as well as a nomination for the 2010 Mercury Prize.
In a review for the Guardian, critic Dave Simpson described it as a collection of "wonderfully introspective, downbeat yet somehow uplifting songs".
He added that Sky at Night "has an eerie, almost childlike innocence: ten songs of stunning candour and understated beauty".
The album represented a deserved breakthrough for I Am Kloot, as the group have been recording and releasing music since their debut effort Natural History emerged in 2001.
People heading to the Norwich Arts Centre next month will be able to hear the group's latest material in a live setting, with classic songs from their previous albums also likely to be included in the set.
Doors are set to open at 20:00 GMT and support will be provided by Dan Michaelson and the Coastguards. Tickets are available for GBP15 in advance.
