LateRooms.com - Effervescence Exhibition to Open in Cairns
The installation is intended to showcase images of the unusual.
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, December 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The c.1907 gallery in Cairns will next month play host to the opening of Effervescence, a series of contemporary photographic images designed to depict the unusual.
Created by James Cook University photography graduate Rebecca Claire Edwards, the exhibition will open at the art space on January 24th 2011 and close on February 19th.
According to the venue, drama, form, texture and shape are four elements that can be witnessed in each of the images captured by the artist, adding the pictures have been taken as a result of experimentation and situation.
"My motivation when I capture an image is to create an individual artwork that is beautiful to the viewer's eye," Edwards explained to people planning to stay in Cairns hotels and visit the installation.
Culture vultures who book cheap hotels in Cairns and head to the gallery may also take note of the careful planning and consideration that has gone into each picture.
C.1907 is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00 and 17:00 local time, so anyone who has booked last minute hotel deals for the occasion should have plenty of chance to check it out.
Thousands of people visit the venue every week at Cairns' City Place hub, which also houses plenty of retail outlets, restaurants and free entertainment.
