Edith M. Collins Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Edith M. Collins celebrates 30 years in the field of arts

SAN ANTONIO, TX, November 1, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edith M. Collins, Artist for The Collins Company, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in painting.

With 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Collins has honed her skills in painting. Her artistic range includes dramatic compositions to peaceful scenes; she creates paintings of all subject matter that stirs the emotions. She has studied with some of the best art teachers. Fifteen years ago, she and her husband formed The Collins Company to display her artwork to the public.

Ms. Collins is a member of the San Antonio Art League and Museum, the Coppini Fine Arts Academy, the San Antonio Watercolor Society and the River Art Gallery. She has been awarded a signature membership to the Texas Watercolor Society, in addition to a the silver medallion in the 59th annual exhibition. Ms. Collins is the recipient of the Purple Sage Award and the Best of Show award from the Coppini Academy of Fine Art.

In 1992, Ms. Collins was selected by the Foundation for International Professional Exchange and the Movement for Understanding to participate in a cultural exchange program in Moscow. Her artwork has been featured in "The Pumpkin Patch," a book for the Methodist Church, and on the cover of Rio Magazine. Ms. Collins intends to exhibit more of her artwork and increase her recognition.
