A display of art by Pedro de Campana is available to view in Seville this summer.
SEVILLE, SPAIN, August 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Seville's Museo de Bellas Artes has opened a temporary display of an alterpiece created by Pedro de Campana.
It is available for accommodation Seville guests to see until October 10th 2010 and involves a collection of 15 paintings on wood, which show a variety of religious scenes.
The organisers stated that the illustrations narrate scenes between the Virgin Mary and her parents, with de Campana having painted the pieces some time between 1542 and 1557.
Art enthusiasts eager to find out how the items were restored will be delighted to hear that there is a full explanation of the processes used alongside the paintings and sculptures on show.
What makes this display even more special is that it must be transferred to its original location in the future, so this is rare opportunity to see the work up close.
"The exhibition allows us to envision the result of the restoration of the works that comprise the altarpiece of the church of Santa Ana de Triana, which has taken place in the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage," explained the venue.
There is plenty more to see at the art space, with the sculpture of St Jerome and a portrait of Jorge Manuel providing highlights for fans of Spanish work.
Visitors can view this fascinating display from Tuesday to Saturday, between 09:00 and 20:30 local time, as well as Sundays from 09:00 to 14:30.
