Tourists heading to Tenby for the summer may wish to check out the Fragments Imagery exhibition.
TENBY, ENGLAND, July 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A new exhibition entitled Fragments Imagery is all set to be unveiled at Picton Castle, which can be easily reached by car from many of the hotels Tenby offers.
It will be on display from August 1st to 31st and will showcase the talents of Anne Rees and Linda Carr, who have had their work presented at the historic venue previously.
The organisers explained that a second exhibition of the two women's art has been put together due to popular demand and their ability in the area of textiles is simply unmatched.
Rees and Carr use a variety of different materials to create their artwork and the venue described the items they create as "exquisite".
"If you haven't seen the work of Anne and Linda, combine in your mind the rich colours and swirling texture of embroidery, the exact detail of quilting and the narrative of tapestry, then blend in pure talent," they added.
The exhibition takes place at Picton Gallery - part of Picton Castle - and visitors can view the items between 10:30 and 17:00 BST every day.
Entrance costs GBP4.95, but this also allows people to walk around the landmark's beautiful gardens.
There are plenty of other events taking place at Picton Castle this summer, such as an outdoor performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
For more information on this event visit the Picton Castle website or contact the venue on 01437 751 326.
