Anyone travelling to Dubai with their family this summer will be able to keep the children occupied with some of the events at the DUTAC summer camp.

DUBAI, UAE, June 08, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People who have booked hotels in Dubai this summer to enjoy a relaxing break with their family may want to spend some time away from the children for a few hours.

If you need something to occupy the little ones, then the summer camp run by the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre (DUTAC) could be the perfect solution.

Starting on July 4th there will be weekly programmes of events, with activities scheduled until the middle of August.

Children are split into two age groups - six to eight years and nine to 12 years - giving them a chance to mix with lots of other kids and make some new friends.

Among the classes to be offered as part of the summer camp are pottery, painting and craftwork.

The painting sessions aim to give youngsters a chance to "create individual and beautiful paintings with acrylics and interesting designs on canvas and glass", the DUTAC website explains.

Meanwhile, any children who get involved with the pottery classes will be taught how to create pinch pots, mugs, tiles and various other items out of clay.

Your kids will be allowed to take home everything they make, which could give you a unique souvenir of your holiday in Dubai.

While the children are occupied, you could enjoy some shopping and spa treatments for which the city is famous.

A recent Travelmole poll found that approximately half of respondents would sell Dubai as a destination for pampering holidays.
