LONDON, ENGLAND, May 12, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The opening day of the Francis Alys exhibition at London's Tate Modern is just around the corner, which may provide the perfect impetus for people thinking about taking a trip down to the capital.

Guests at accommodation in London will be able to enjoy the most comprehensive collection of his work to date when the show opens on June 15th, according to the venue.

As well as showing work that has not been displayed in Britain before such as When Faith Moves Mountains 2002, the art space has also secured the premiere of the artist's latest major project - Tornado 2000-10.

"Alys explores subjects such as modernising programmes in Latin America and border zones in areas of conflict, often asking about the relevance of poetic acts in politicised situations," explained the prestigious British museum.

The Belgian artist has lived in Mexico City since the 1980s and utilises videos, postcards, painting and drawing in his work.

Tickets for the display, which is running until September 5th, are available online or at the box office and are priced at GBP10.

Opening hours at the Tate Modern are from 10:00 to 18:00 BST from Sunday to Thursday and 10:00 to 22:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

While in the building, people could also check out the temporary exhibition of Haris Epaminonda's work in the Level 2 Gallery.
