The Wootton Bassett Arts Festival should help Cotswolds visitors to boost their creative skills.

COTSWOLDS, ENGLAND, May 12, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People using accommodation in the Cotswolds may like to indulge their creative talents at this year's Wootton Bassett Arts Festival.

The event differs from other festivals of its kind in that it offers a series of classes for attendees, with sessions on art, creative writing, music, speech and drama all available.

Art is a new addition to the programme for this year's edition, with photography also set to be included in this section.

The festival runs from June 10th to 14th and all pieces of art produced by the entrants are due to go on display at the market town's Civic Centre on June 12th.

This exhibition will be open to the public, who then have a chance to vote on their favourite entries.

A particularly varied syllabus has been prepared for the festival this year, with classes including Shakespeare acting, public speaking, solo mime, sonnet writing and TV news reading.

People visiting the Cotswolds may already be familiar with Wootton Bassett, as the Wiltshire town has become a focal point for public tributes to the nation's fallen servicemen and women in recent years.

This is due to its close proximity to RAF Lyneham, where many soldiers killed in action are repatriated.
