Roads of Arabia will be opening in Paris soon and is sure to fascinate and intrigue art lovers.
PARIS, FRANCE, May 12, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Le Louvre in Paris will be showing a collection of items spanning prehistoric times right up to the modern age from Saudi Arabia this summer, in an exhibition entitled Roads of Arabia - Archaeological Treasures form the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Running from June 16th until September 27th, the exhibit looks set to be fascinating, as it offers people a comprehensive review of the culture in the area with the help of pictures, paintings, jewellery and many other artefacts.
There are 300 items to browse through, many of which have never left their native countries before, so guests at accommodation in Paris will be sure of getting their money's worth at this show.
"They reveal in particular the little-known past of a dazzling, prosperous Arabic world now being gradually discovered by archaeologists," explained the organisers.
Travellers can purchase tickets for this display for EUR11 (GBP9.50) or pay EUR14 to see the full permanent collection in Le Louvre in addition to this temporary exhibit.
Opening every day at 09:00 (local time) - except Tuesday when the venue is closed - the building closes at 20:00 on Saturdays, 22:00 on Wednesdays and Fridays, and 18:00 every other day.
A trip to Le Louvre could also include a visit to the Francois Morellet-designed Lefeul Staircase window installation, found in the Richelieu Wing, which will be available to see throughout 2010.
