Dayang and Marcell are due to give a one-off performance at the Hard Rock Cafe in Kuala Lumpur.


KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, February 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kuala Lumpur's Hard Rock Cafe is set to host a special performance by two of south-east Asia's biggest music stars next month.

Malaysian R&B sensation Dayang Nurfaizah and Indonesian singer Marcell Siahaan, who recently collaborated on the hit song Sayang, will be performing at the venue on March 7th.

Described as a "special double-billing showcase", the event will get underway at 23:00 local time and could be ideal for people enjoying nights out during their stay in Kuala Lumpur hotels.

Tickets are priced at 80 ringgits (GBP14), which includes one soft drink.

Dayang recently spoke about her duet with Marcell in an interview with the Malay Mail.

"We definitely had fun recording and it was so easy to work together," she told the newspaper.

"I thought it would take forever, but it was a breeze and in fact we were stopped as we had more than enough material."

Meanwhile, Marcell explained that Sayang is designed to please pop fans, rather than provoke deep emotions.

"It's just one of those songs that define a good pop number," he said.

Located on Jalan Sultan Ismail, the Kuala Lumpur Hard Rock Cafe recently underwent a major refurbishment and new items of memorabilia have been installed.
