/Art and Artists News Articles/ - Scottsdale, AZ, May 30, 2008, Madaleen L. Pulsifer Kloeber, Artist and Sculptor for Maddy's Art, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in wood sculpture.

A professional artist for close to 25 years, Ms. Pulsifer established her own company in 1988. She specializes in wood sculpture, wildlife art painting, carving and portraits of people and pets, and shares her knowledge by conducting classes in her studio and at various community facilities. Two of her best-known works are a Pegasus sculpture in basswood with a three-foot wingspan, commissioned originally by the Colorado Springs Academy, and a life-sized carousel horse that is part of a private collection. Ms. Pulsifer attributes her success to her talent and methods of teaching. Her future goals include showing more of her work in galleries, continuing to teach, and publishing a book with patterns and techniques for wood sculpture.

In addition to her portraits and sculptures, Ms. Pulsifer has used her creative talents to co-illustrate a children's book with her daughter. She has also published articles and been featured thrice on the cover of Chip Chats, the magazine of the National Wood Carvers Association. Ms. Pulsifer has been declared "Artist of the Year" twice in her career—the first time, by the Arizona Woodcarvers Association in 1997, and the second, by the Grand Canyon State Woodcarvers Association in 2001. She has exhibited her work at the Arizona Woodcarvers Association's annual show and at the Phoenix Civic Plaza show.

An authority on wood sculpture, Ms. Pulsifer is available to speak with the media. To contact her, and to learn more about Maddy's Art, visit http://www.maddysart.com.
