ISM: Community Project to Host "PRELUDE" Fashion Show
ISM: Community Project is hosting the Prelude Fashion Show. This evening of fashion will be accompanied by: music, art, photography, and poetry. The Prelude exhibit is an introduction to the FAST at UCLA fashion show.
/Art and Artists News Articles/ - LONG BEACH, CA, May 08, 2008 - A fun night on the town might include going to a fashion show, visiting a local art exhibit or listening to some live music: all of these forms of entertainment can be found at the Prelude fashion show. ISM, a nonprofit art organization, is hosting The PRELUDE fashion show on Mother's Day, May 11, 2008.
The Prelude Fashion Show will be held at the ISM: gallery located at the Koo's Art Center, at 540 East Broadway in Long Beach, at 7p.m. The Prelude exhibit is an introduction to the FAST at UCLA fashion show.
The Prelude show will include work from designers, writers, artists, photographers, and musicians. Works from Mark Ryden, Shepard Fairey, and Amber Tamblyn will be included. The show will also include works from up and comers: Audrey Kawasaki, Bua, and Beau Sia.
ISM's goal is to allow "An artistic democracy...free suggestion and national exposure for anyone with the talent, regardless of experience." The Prelude shows give these artists a chance to present their original work to an audience.
Come and take part in this event that will expose numerous forms of art and introduce the community to artistic, creative, and talented young people. This Mother's Day event is the perfect opportunity to take mom out on the town and give her a night full of art, fun, and fashion.
